Usage and Configuration Frequently Asked Questions | Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I've installed the code, how do I know it's working?
A. Wait about 15 minutes and then Click on the Summary Tab or Recent Visitors and see if there is any activity being recorded.
Q. What is the difference between the Prospects, Qualified and Companies Tab under My Visitors? A. When you install the our Online Forms in Configure, or use Email, you will be able to generate lead reports, with the prospects name, email and lead score. Prospects are visitors that have been labeled and have clicked thru to your website. Qualified are Prospects that have met your Lead Scoring criteria and have become 'qualified prospects'. Companies are visitors from organizations that have been identified by company name only and which might be considered 'suspects'.

Q. I need to change my password. Where do I go?
A. Click on Configure, then My Profile and fill in the password fields. |
Q. Where can I find marketing info like most recent keywords or the referring links page? A. Mouse over the Summary Tab and you will see the links for these.
Q. What is the ROI Tracker?
A. This where you can setup and view how well your marketing, online ads, Google Adwords etc are doing. It will help you determine how your campaign is working by displaying click thru, goal clicks and forms that were filled in.
Q. What is a Goal Click or success page?
A. Goal Clicks are web pages you can designate as goals for your visitors. By placing special code on those pages like About or Contact etc, you can have the system 'trigger' that as a goal. The more goal pages reached by the visitor, the more qualified they typically are.

Q. How do I configure the ROI Tracker?
A. Click ROI Tracker and then the Add button. Give the tracker a name like 'PPC campaign #1' and put a unique tracking code such as 'G101' and then assign a type. Click Save and then you will need to code the URL from each ad that the click is coming from to match the tracking code. For example in this case, the code would look like: http://www.samplecompany.com/?source=G101.
Q. How do I configure ROI Tracker for ActiveConversion email?
A. The unique tracking code is setup the same way. However as the email is generated by the system, you will not be manually adding the tracking code to each email. You just need to put in the tracking code once. |
Q. In Lead Report, why do some fields have Visitor Label or Search Term, and others don't?
A. Visitors only get labeled if there is contact info available. Search Terms can only be displayed if the visitor came via a search query directly.
Q. How is the Auto-Label set in the Companies Tab?
A. Labels that have only the company name, are being auto-labeled, based on number of pages loaded by the anonymous visitor. This is set in the Configure Tab - Edit Project Setting. The default is five so Auto-Label will NOT work unless the visitor views at least 5 pages. We recommend using a large enough number that will reflect the number of page views a valid prospect would likely view such as 5 or more. You can always change it later.
Q. How does Lead Scoring work?
A. Click Configure, Lead Scoring and then Add. Then put in the 'rules' or criteria of a visitor to become qualified. Number of returning visits, total pages viewed, number of goals etc. Leads that have this profile will be highlighted in green on Prospects and will appear under the Qualified Tab.
Q. How can I block visits from myself or others in the same company?
A. Click Configure, Edit Project Setting. Then put in your IP address into the IP Address Block box. Your IP address will be displayed for your convenience. For others, get their IP addresses from Visitor Detai and place in the same box, one IP address per line.
Q. Where do I export the information into ACT or Salesforce.com?
A. At the bottom of each report is an export function. Choose the data range you want and click CSV. It will then create a .csv file. Edit the .csv file as required and import it into your favorite CRM such as ACT.
For Salesforce.com, you need to have us enable Salesforce integration and the information will be transferred automatically based on the rules you Configure. |
Q. I don't have time to login and I don't use a CRM Can it just email the leads to me?
A. Easy. Click Configure. Then click Lead Report Email Setting. Set the day and the frequency. The system will then email you the Lead Report in .xls format to the email address attached to your login ID.
