Business Development and Sales Executive (Full Time)

Location: Calgary, AB

Can you create a successful business unit from a business plan? Are you well versed in online marketing and advertising, as well as sales and channels development? Are you great at discovering solutions to business problems? If you think this is you, we’d love to talk to you about a senior opening on our team.

As the business development and sales manager for the company, you’ll work as a senior account executive first, and also develop new avenues of business using channels that have been started. You will then progress into managing a small team of professionals to execute on the sales and business plan. We expect the candidate to progress into a director role at a later time, upon successful completion of the initial role. Your responsibilities will include duties like:

  • Direct sell in person, and online to customers in Canada, and the U.S.
  • Creating opportunities for deeper collaboration with our partners to expand sales opportunities with their customers
  • Create compelling and urgent value propositions to recruit more strategic partners
  • Be the leader to develop new business lines, revenue streams and adapt to competitive pressures
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to build new relationships with partners
  • Documenting activities regularly and accurately in customer success software and CRM


  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Prove track record in sales, negotiation and leadership
  • Very little travel outside of Calgary

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales and business experience in a software or online marketing/advertising environment required
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer relationship management, channel development, and internet technologies
  • University or college degree – technical or business background preferred
  • Experience working for or with industrial companies is an asset
